An interactive presentation on glass block includes the manufacturing process, vision control, product performance, codes, inspiring application and designs as well as technical/installation information.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will learn about the properties of Glass Block and how they can solve building design problems. The full range of different styles and types of Glass Block will be presented and participants will learn the appropriate application of each series of block. An understanding of the design andinstallation specification will complete the learning objective.

How Taught:

The CES facilitator utilizes a PowerPoint presentation to provide an in- depth overview of the information needed to properly design with glass block for commercial and residential applications.An interactive format encourages questions throughout the presentation.

A/V Needed:

Electrical power and a screen for the PowerPoint presentation. (The CES facilitator supplies the laptop and projectors.)

Architects, specifiers, owners and other design professionals in the commercial and residential market.The ideal audience size can be one on one or any number. This program meets every experience level with time designed intothe program for questions and answers:

Facilitator Qualifications:

All Pittsburgh Corning facilitators have been trained on CES guidelines and presentation skills. In addition, they receive continuous technical training on changes to product, specifications, and installation details and codes which can impact the design and application of Glass Block.
