Quality Glass Block’s Blast Resistant Windows by Seves Glass Block™ are specially designed and tested to meet and exceed stringent government, military and international building requirements to give you the beauty of glass with the utmost protection.

As most know, many injuries occur in a blast of any kind are from the flying fragments in the air. Unlike laminated glass that is flat and can disperse shards of glass and injure occupants during a forced blast, the Blast Resistant Glass Block Panels have been highly tested in a force blast themselves proving there was no cracks or fragments of glass during the time of testing.

Engineering analysis supplemented with shock tube testing performed by an independent laboratory has determined that Seves LightWise^® Architectural Systems Blast Resistant Glass Block Panels with sizes ranging from 4’ x 4’ to 8’ x 8’ perform to an ASTM “Minimal Hazard” or GSA.

“Performance Condition 2” or Better For:

• General Services Administration (GSA) Level C and Level D
• Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) DoD Minimum Anti-terrorism
• Standards for Buildings Type I threats at 25m and 45m standoff  distances and Type II threats at 10m      and 25m standoff distances
• For Petrochemical applications, a successful blast test of longer duration was also performed

Quality Glass Block LightWise^® Architectural Systems Blast Resistant Glass Block Panels consist of glass block framed by a 2-piece aluminum channel. The standard channel is mill finished, anodized clear or bronze. Powder coating is also available.
